FAQ

What is a DrupalCamp?

Don't bring a sleeping bag and a tent, it's not that kind of camp. Think of DrupalCamp as a conference, where every hour, presenters are giving sessions on a variety of Drupal-related topics. You choose the topics that most interest you, and travel from room to room throughout the day. We get together, we learn new things, meet new people, exchange ideas and thoughts. It's educational and it's fun.

What is Drupal?

Drupal is a free open-source content management system (CMS) written in the PHP programming language. Drupal allows anyone to easily publish, manage and organize a wide variety of content on a website. Hundreds of thousands of people and organizations are using Drupal to power an endless variety of sites. Learn more at www.drupal.org.

Who uses Drupal?

Drupal is used locally in the Twin Cities, as well as nationally and internationally.

Some well-known sites in the Minneapolis-St.Paul area include:

Nationally, Drupal sites include the Economist, MTV, The White House, and Sony Music.

Where is the Twin Cities?

The Twin Cities are what we call the Minneapolis and St. Paul, in Minnesota. We're a fun, hip, and happening pair of cities along the Mississippi, with a large, active Drupal community, tons of fantastic restaurants and bars, great local music scene, world-class museums, and pretty much anything else you'd want to do. Not too big, not too small, just right for you to visit.

What sessions are offered?

Sessions are lead by Drupal users - like you!  Want to lead a session for this year's event?  Start planning now, we will be accepting sessions submissions in April.
